Office of Spartan Experiences to host "Countdown to Close-Out" week-long events

The Office of Spartan Experiences will be hosting “Countdown to Close-Out,” a campus-wide interactive and collaborative event to close out this fall semester. Students can participate in engaging activities between Dec. 4 - Dec. 9.

Sunday, Dec. 4: “Countdown to Close-Out” Kick-off Event & Move Night Kick-off

At 8 p.m., the Office of Spartan Experiences will host a “Countdown to Close-Out” kickoff on Facebook and Instagram Live to highlight prize giveaways and events.

The Student Involvement and Leadership team and Residence Halls Association will also hold a movie night for students to watch on-demand movies.

Monday, Dec. 5: Spartan Game Day

Play an in-person Spartan Bingo and win prizes at the MSU Union Ballroom from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

For students who cannot attend events in person, Office of Spartan Experiences will host a virtual trivia with prizes. Connect via Zoom starting at 8 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 6: Spartan Spirit Tuesday

Post a photo of your favorite highlight of the year or you wearing your favorite Spartan gear — include #COUNTDOWNTOCLOSEOUT2022 with the photo.

Wednesday, Dec. 7: Wellness Wednesday Featuring: Glow Open Gym

From 6 - 9 p.m. Recreational Sports and Fitness Services and Student Involvement and Leadership will provide a “Glow Open Gym” at IM East. Students can participate in glow soccer, dodgeball, tag and “glow with the flow” activities. Check out the Recreational Sports and Fitness Services website for more information.

Thursday, Dec. 8: Spartan Connect Wellness & Self-Care Break

Attend a wellness and self-care break with the Office of Cultural & Academic Transitions, the Student Involvement and Leadership team and Douglas J Aveda Institute from noon - 2 p.m at the MSU Leadership Center in the Student Services Building. Events include:

  • Welcome/intro bingo 

  • Massages

  • Food

  • Meditation session

  • Counseling & Psychiatric Services, or CAPS

  • Wellness engagement activities

  • Sharing ideas on self-care and study strategies for finals

  • Network

  • Make self-care kit

Friday, Dec. 9: Ultimate Spartan Finals Thrive Package Giveaway

In Room 6 in the Student Services Building, students can join a Spartan Finals Thrive package giveaway. Spartans can pick up a package with items to successfully and prepare during finals.
