The Peace Pole in East Lansing's William B. Sharpe Park was stolen Oct. 22, according to a statement from the city.
As East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) attempts to locate the pole, the release said if the pole is returned to the park, no further questions will be asked.
The tall, wooden pole is one of more than 200,000 worldwide. It features the message "may peace prevail on Earth" in 12 different languages.
In 2014, the Peace Pole was donated to the City of East Lansing by St. Vincent Catholic Charities, the release said.
