Latest Updates
Under the Latest Updates section, you will be able to find some of the most recent general news from the university.
On-campus research has resumed authorized by an executive order from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and health clinics are beginning the process of reopening for in-person visits.
This section communicates the financial impacts of the pandemic on MSU and its operations, such as the suspension of university-sponsored travel and other decisions made by the Reopening Campus Task Force.
Information is also listed about the tuition freeze, family support through financial aid and advising, as well as answers to many frequently asked questions from the community.
International
The International page houses resources for international students through the Office for International Students and Scholars, or OISS, which have set up their own coronavirus specific website as well.

As university-sponsored travel has been suspended indefinitely, the travel section has information for those with previous travel plans or those planning to request the university for waivers for essential in-state travel.

Financial Impact
The pandemic has had a great financial impact on MSU. Thus far, the university has lost $50 to $60 million this fiscal year and expect $150 million to $300 million in 2021.
As the fallout continues, the financial impact section of the website will be updated on what decisions have been made within the university’s budget in response.
Some responses have included budget reductions, executive salary cuts and eliminations of other expenses. Here you can find basic information and updates on the university's union agreements as they adjust within the budget.
