Michigan State University's Housing Assignments Office has now announced options for students looking to live on-campus this summer.

There are a few different options this summer and changes from previous years given that some students might have to remain on-campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"With planned construction projects on campus and health and safety concerns due to COVID-19 through the summer, we will offer all students their own room in a suite-style hall," the Housing Assignments Office said in an email. "We will be starting assignments in Holmes Hall and will move to another suite-style hall should the demand require it."

Students who have a Spring 2020 housing contract, Spring 2020 unlimited dining plan, Fall 2020 housing contract and Fall 2020 unlimited dining plan can live on-campus without a housing charge, but must still pay for an unlimited dining plan.

"Students who cannot return home due to extenuating circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic: We are still available and able to house you during this unprecedented time!" the Housing Assignments Office said in an email. "The room rate will be $951 per summer session, and $1352 per summer session for the dining plan."

Air conditioners will also be provided for students to rent during the summer, the cost of which will be shared with students once room selections are made.

Those who are looking to stay on-campus this summer can sign up on the my housing account page, sign-ups are encouraged sooner rather than later.
