During finals week — April 28 to May 2 — the Michigan State Union will be open 24 hours to help students prepare for their exams.

The MSU Union will be open continuously from 9 a.m. Sunday to 2 a.m. Friday.

The Union provides individual study spaces, group spaces for collaboration and computer labs in the Neighborhood Engagement Center and ground floor open lab.

This change comes from student feedback received during the spring 2018 MSU Union market survey where 80% of students responding said they were interested in additional 24-hour study space on campus.

During the final week, the restaurants in the Union will offer discounts for students, and along with Sparty’s, they will extend hours until 2 a.m.

On April 30, Biggby will offer $3 tall hot or iced specialty beverages with upgrades available between midnight to 2 a.m. On May 1, the MSU Dairy Store will be open until 10 p.m. and will offer 15% off all grilled cheese sandwiches as well as specials through the week.

Editor's Note: This article was updated on April 15 at 5:28 p.m. to clarify that the Union will be open continuously from 9 a.m. Sunday to 2 a.m. Friday.
