'Rosie Revere, Engineer,' others to head to Wharton Center as part of Act One Family Series
At 1:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 8 and at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 9, a theatrical adaptation of Andrea Beaty’s children's books will make their debut on Wharton Center’s Pasant stage.
The production will feature characters from three of Beaty’s books: Rosie Revere, Engineer; Iggy Peck, Architect; and Ada Twist, Scientist. The play focuses on three young children, outside-the-box thinking strategies, and their passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
The three girls work together to reach their true potentials while also struggling with their own doubts. The TheatreWorks USA Production is recommended for children between the ages of five and ten.
The Sensory Friendly Performance will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9. The performance will provide a more adaptable environment for audience members with autism spectrum disorder, developmental disabilities and sensory processing disorder and other sensory-sensitive individuals and their families.
