The MSU Board of Trustees will hold their second meeting of the 2018-19 academic year on the fourth floor of the Hannah Administration Building at 8 a.m. on Friday. This will be the second of  three meetings held this semester.

At the meeting, the board will officially name three new campus pavilions, including the upcoming business facility being built in the construction site north of the Business College Complex. This  $60 million facility, set to be completed in the fall of 2019, received a $30 million gift from MSU alumnus Edward J. Minskoff earlier this semester.

The Board of Trustees will officially name the Eli Broad College of Business Pavilion the "Edward J. Minskoff Business Pavilion".

The meeting will also include the authorization to proceed with many on-campus construction projects, such as the installment of new lighting at the softball and baseball stadiums. There will also be a faculty research presentation.

According to a press release from MSU Spokesperson Emily Guerrant, signs will continue to not be permitted into the meeting, a change that was made earlier this year. Attendees who arrive with signs will be asked to leave them in the lobby until after the meeting.

Signs "block the view of other attendees and can become safety hazards in a crowded room," the release said.

Also, just like the first meeting of the academic year, the allotted time for public participation will be at the beginning of the meeting instead of at the end — another change that was recently implemented.

For attendees, doors will open at 7:30 a.m. The next and final meeting of the semester will be held on Dec. 14.
