The Spartans continue climbing up the polls as they keep winning games.

After squeaking by Indiana in a 17-9 affair, MSU moved up in both the Amway Coaches poll and the AP poll.

In the AP poll, the Spartans are now No. 16 team in the country. In the Coaches poll, MSU comes in at No. 18.

Michigan barely hung on in the Coaches poll, now No. 25. Other Big Ten teams are No. 2 Penn State, No. 5 Wisconsin and No. 6 Ohio State.

To the delight of Spartan fans, however, U-M no longer makes an appearance in the AP poll. Just like the Coaches poll, the other three Big Ten teams stayed put: No. 2 Penn State, No. 5 Wisconsin and No. 6 Ohio State.

The Spartans head to Evanston, Illinois to take on the Northwestern Wildcats at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 28. The Wildcats are coming off an overtime win over the Iowa Hawkeyes last week 17-10.
