Former MSU football players Keith Mumphery and Max Bullough are reportedly being waived by the Houston Texans.

The Houston Chronicle reported Mumphery, a wide receiver, and Bullough, a linebacker, were waived due to "off-the-field issues."

The report comes days after news broke that Mumphery was expelled from MSU in 2016 for violating MSU's relationship violence and sexual misconduct policy.

At the conclusion of a Title IX investigation through the Office of Institutional Equity, Mumphery is banned from campus until Dec. 31, 2018. Mumphery cannot enroll at MSU under any circumstance moving forward.

Bullough, a former MSU football captain, violated the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy. He was suspended by the NFL last month for four games.

A spokesperson from the Houston Texans said the organization cannot yet confirm whether or not Mumphery and Bullough will be cut.

"We are not confirming that nor announcing that today," the spokesperson said. "It is not official that they have been released."
