The sexual assault investigation involving three MSU football players and a football staff member is still ongoing, though a date of the alleged incident has been confirmed by the victim’s attorney.

The victim’s attorney confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the incident occurred on Jan. 16 at University Village Apartments, though she could not verify the time of the incident.

MSU Police Department’s  Clery Crime and Fire Log lists two incidents of criminal sexual conduct and one incident of obscenity as occurring on Jan. 16 at 2 a.m. at University Village Apartments. All three incidents were reported on Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. according to the log.

MSU released a statement on Feb. 9 regarding the alleged sexual assault, suspending the three members of the team and the staff member. All three members of the team were removed from on-campus housing.

Later in the week, MSU football’s director of college advancement and performance,  Curtis Blackwell was suspended with pay though the details regarding his suspension have not been released.

“I can tell you that (Blackwell) is suspended with pay," MSU spokesman Jason Cody said Feb. 14. "I can’t discuss the details of any employee’s suspension or the circumstances or whether that suspension is tied to anything else that’s going on and being reported.”

No timetable has been set for the conclusion of the investigation.
