WASHINGTON, D.C. — The single-bye teams took the floor of the Verizon Center for the first time, Penn State and Rutgers for the second time, Thursday as the Big Ten Tournament kicked into full gear.
Each game on day two was a blow-out, the winning team surpassing their opponent by 20-plus points each time.

In Game No. 3 for the tournament, the Michigan Wolverines blew out the Illinois Fighting Illini 75-55.
The Wolverines wore their practice jerseys after their game jerseys were left behind. The team's plane blew off the runway upon take-off Wednesday night. They flew to Washington, D.C. in the morning and hours later, took the court.
Derrick Walton Jr. led the Wolverines with 19 points. Tracy Abrams had the game high for Illinois with 23 points. Malcolm Hill was held to just 4 points on 1-8 shooting.
No. 5 MSU 78, No. 13 Penn State 51
Game No. 4 featured MSU and Penn State. After an overtime victory on day one, the Nittany Lions were flat shooting the ball. They finished 29 percent from the field, MSU moves on after 78-51.
