Former MSU basketball star Draymond Green’s attorney signed a document Thursday accepting a plea agreement’s terms on his behalf. The terms include paying a $500 fine and a $60 jail restitution fee. Green’s charge has also been reduced to a civil infraction on the condition that he avoids committing any more crimes and avoids contact with Jermaine Edmondson for one year.
Green was arrested for hitting Edmondson, a now former cornerback for MSU Football, in the early hours of July 10 outside Conrad’s Grill on Abbot Road downtown. Three days later, MSU announced that Edmondson had been granted a full release from the football program to transfer to another school for his final year of NCAA eligibility. The press release did not address his altercation with Green the previous weekend.
