Here are your top stories for the week of Dec. 4.
On Nov. 27 during Thanksgiving break, packaging junior Sydney Gort was arraigned on two counts of making a terrorist threat, MSU spokesperson Jason Cody said.
The first count the 23-year-old was charged with stems from a threat made in the MSU School of Packaging on Nov. 24 and the other is a case from April 2015 where a similar threat was made.
MSU Students for Choice held a candlelight vigil at The Rock on Farm Lane Monday night in the wake of the recent attack on a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood clinic.
East Lansing City Council unanimously approved a resolution declaring the city of East Lansing a welcoming community for Syrian refugees at the Tuesday council meeting.
On Saturday, the Big Ten Championship Game kicks off at 8 pm in Indianapolis.
The MSU Spartans will take on the undefeated Iowa Hawkeyes. Both teams are fighting to keep playoff hopes alive with the Spartans ranked 5 and Iowa ranked 4 in the latest AP Poll.
