The State News top stories for the week.

Here are the top stories for the week of Sept. 11. 

MSU made changes to its sexual misconduct policy after federal investigations found that the university mishandled three sexual assault cases. The biggest policy change made is the creation of The Office of Institutional Equity, which has the sole purpose of processing and investigating sexual misconduct and relationship violence reports.

Spartan Football’s first home game is this Saturday against the Oregon Ducks. The matchup is anticipated to be one of the best of the season, with the Spartans ranked 5th and the Ducks ranked 7th. ESPN’s College GameDay will be broadcasting from Munn Field at 9 a.m. The game starts at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Students are raising concerns over the need for renovations in the IM facilities on campus. IM Sports-West has not seen significant renovations since 2005 and the pool was built in 1950. Students also note the lack of space, long waits, poor condition of the turf and cost of membership.
