Lansing Community College was briefly evacuated Monday morning after they received a report of someone carrying what looked like a backpack with a gun sticking out of the top into the college president's house.
The college was on lockdown from about 10:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. while police officers searched the president's house and moved the search to the adjacent Dart Auditorium.
Police blocked off parts of Capital Avenue near LCC's campus for a short time as well until the investigation came to a close.
Police gave an all clear around 10:30 a.m. and students resumed class.
