Suspect in East Lansing sexual assault and home invasion arraigned

A man was arraigned on Tuesday for the alleged sexual assault and home invasion of an East Lansing resident.

Commerce Township resident Darcel Ricky Johnson, 17, was arraigned in 54-B District Court on charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct, criminal sexual conduct assault with the intent to commit sexual penetration, possession of marijuana and minor in possession, according to East Lansing police.

Police said a male suspect entered an East Lansing residence through an unlocked door Sunday, Feb. 23 at about 5:30 a.m. and sexually assaulted its female owner, who was asleep at the time.

Johnson is the suspect of an alleged sexual assault which took place early Sunday morning. The suspect was arrested shortly after in the 500 block of Forest Road.
