UPDATE: Cedar Street shooting victim sustained severe injuries, police say

UPDATE, 1 a.m.: Lt. Steve Gonzalez of the East Lansing Police Department told The State News a victim of the shooting sustained severe injuries. Gonzalez said the suspect remains at large.

A shooting occurred at about 8:45 p.m. Friday night on the 200 block of Cedar Street, according to an MSU alert.

Police responded to the scene and have taped off the area. The suspect is described as a male of average height and build.
