The No. 4-ranked MSU football team rallied in the second half to beat No. 5 Stanford in the 100th Rose Bowl matchup.

In a close, evenly-matched game, the Spartans bested the Stanford Cardinal with a score of 24-20.

The play that decided the game came from a key tackle by senior linebacker Kyler Ellsworth. Ellsworth replaced suspended senior captain Max Bullough in his first career start.

The win marks the end of a 13-win season for the Spartans.
