Police departments from East Lansing, Meridian Township and Lansing are looking for a man accused of robbing multiple convenience stores in the capital area.
According to the Lansing State Journal, the suspect robbed three convenience stores in three hours. The police are saying around 11:35 p.m. the man robbed a 7-Eleven store on the 900 block of East Grand River Avenue. Half an hour later a Quality Dairy in the 2600 block of South Cedar Street in Lansing was robbed. The suspect also robbed a Speedway Gas Station in the 100 block of West Lake Lansing Road at 2:35 a.m.
The suspect is being described as a white male in his thirties, five feet 10 inches tall with spiked hair and a middle to heavy build.
The suspect may have been driving a maroon colored, two-door Chevrolet sedan, according to police.
Police from Meridian Township have put the suspects’ faces online in hopes that someone from the community will be able to identify the suspect.
Lt. Scott Wigglesworth said there are no suspects at this time.
“We’re hoping someone from around the area recognizes him and we can catch him,” he said.
Wigglesworth said there isn’t a typical time frame for catching those accused of robbery.
Anyone with information about the robberies is encouraged to call Lansing police Detective Mark Lewandowsky at 517-483-6859, East Lansing police Detective Dan Brown at 517-319-6811 or report crimes anonymously through CrimeStoppers at 517- 483-7867.
