MSU is set to have a presence in the White House with the announcement that two students were selected for the fall 2013 session of the White House Internship Program.
Megan Havern of Armada, Mich., and Vikram Mandelia of Southfield were selected to fill two of the 145 fall internship positions.
Students selected work in one of many federal departments to gain professional experience, according to a statement from the White House.
The program serves to “make the White House accessible to future leaders around the nation and to prepare those devoted to public service for future leadership opportunities,” the statement said.
Two students from the University of Michigan, Andrew Baker and Lee Sova-Claypool, also were chosen.
