The former MSU football linebacker and two-time All-American entered his name into the record books, as he was one of 12 players named to the College Football Hall of Fame.

From 1986-89, Snow helped lead MSU to a 29-16-2 record during his time as a student-athlete. The team garnered three different postseason bowl appearances (1988 Rose Bowl, 1989 Gator Bowl and 1989 Aloha Bowl) in the span.

As a player, Snow was a two-time first-team All-American and three-time first-team All-Big Ten selection. He also led the Spartans in tackles from 1987-1989.

“This is the highest individual honor, but it certainly isn’t something I could have accomplished alone,” Snow said in a press release. “This is the result of teamwork. My teammates and coaches all played a vital role. I’m both humble and grateful for this recognition, and I accept this honor on behalf of Michigan State University.

Snow ranks second in tackles on MSU’s all-time list.

For his career, he totals include 17 tackles for loss (57 yards), four sacks (26 yards), six interceptions and 10 passes defended.

He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs with the No. 13 pick in the 1990 NFL Draft. Earning All-Rookie honors in his first year, he spent five more in the NFL

Snow becomes the seventh former Michigan State player to be selected for the College Football Hall of Fame, joining halfback John Pingel, tackle Don Coleman, linebacker George Webster, defensive end George “Bubba” Smith, safety Brad Van Pelt, and wide receiver Gene Washington.

As MSU’s latest inductee, his name will be added to Spartan Stadium’s “Ring of Fame” at the Nov. 2 game against Michigan.
