Schuette will prosectute in Casteel case

December 5, 2012

MSU alumnus Raulie Casteel, who is being charged for allegedly going on a 24-incident shooting spree along the I-96 corridor, will face Mich. Attorney General Bill Schuette for reportedly committing crimes in three counties, including Ingham.

Casteel allegedly carried out the shootings Oct. 16-27, causing police from Ingham, Oakland, Livingston and Shiawassee counties to create a joint-task force to investigate the incidents.
He was arrested on Nov. 5 by police.

Because Casteel reportedly committed crimes in three counties, Schuette is the best person to prosecute Casteel, Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III said in the release.
