The Union is expected to open this weekend, said Kat Cooper, communication manager for Auxiliary Resources.
Cooper said construction ended last week and that they currently are in the process of moving in all the necessary equipment for the building.
The food court will be opening this weekend, although Cooper said it still is unclear exactly when, since it will have to go through health inspections.
The Union was supposed to be finished by the time students arrived on campus at the beginning of the academic year.
Cooper said the completion of the renovations had to be pushed back a couple days into November because construction crews ran into unexpected problems, since the building is about 80 years old.
However, the construction did finish on the revised timetable.
