Student leaves $250 in bathroom stall

April 9, 2012

A 20-year-old student reported her Vera Bradley wristlet and black iPhone 3G were stolen between 11:40 and 11:50 a.m. April 5 from a women’s bathroom in South Wonders Hall, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The student said she left the wristlet in a stall and could not find it upon her return, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The black, pink and white wristlet contained the iPhone 3G, $250 cash, a driver’s license and MSU ID as well as $30 in gift cards. The student said there was a person present in the bathroom when she left, whose face she did not see.

A woman was in the bathroom when the student returned for her items. The woman denied knowledge of the missing items when questioned on their whereabouts.

The incident is under investigation.
