A 19-year-old female student reported being assaulted between about 1-2 a.m. Feb. 18 at the corner of Harrison Road and Michigan Avenue, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
MSU police officers were on patrol when they observed the victim and the suspect, a 21-year-old male student, physically fighting on the street corner, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The suspect and victim were in a relationship.
The victim was treated for minor injuries and the suspect refused medical treatment.
The suspect was placed under arrest and is being lodged at Ingham County Jail without bond.
His case currently is under review by the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office.
