A 20-year-old male resident mentor in Armstrong Hall reported an assault on an 18-year-old male student between 2:45-3:30 a.m. Jan. 29, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The victim was approached by two white males and held a brief conversation before one of the suspects punched the victim with a closed fist, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The suspects then ran down the hall toward the lobby.
Suspects were described as two college-age white males, one of whom was wearing a black North Face jacket and a flat-rimmed ball cap. The other wore a black coat and an orange shirt, and both had medium length dark hair.
The incident is under investigation.
