It is almost the weekend. Classes are ending, and students are ready to unwind. Here is a roundup of events to attend during the weekend respite.
The Bled:
Celebrating a decade of creating music, The Bled will perform Saturday at The Loft, 414 E. Michigan Ave., in Lansing. The hardcore band will be giving one of its last performances, having declared this tour will be its last. Aside from releasing four albums, The Bled has toured with bands such as My Chemical Romance, Rise Against, Taking Back Sunday and Linkin Park.
The show also will feature New Venice, Decoder, Versus The Ocean and Fuller.
All ages are admitted, and doors open at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $10 presale and $12 the day of the show.

Shakespeare Rocks!:
The American Shakespeare Collective, or TASC, a Lansing-based theater company, will hold a fundraising event from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Sir Pizza Grand Café, 201 E. Grand River Ave., in Lansing.
TASC will team up with several Lansing bands to feature classic rock ’n’ roll, funky Latin rock and blues music.
Tickets are $5 at the door.

MSU Observatory Open House:
The MSU Observatory will be opening its doors to the public from 9-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the corner of Forest Road and College Road. Attendees can observe a variety of space features, including planets, constellations and bright stars.
This will be the last weekend the observatory will be open during the fall semester.
The cost to attend is free.

Salsa Dancing:
An evening of salsa dancing will take place from 7 p.m. to midnight Sunday at Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge and Grille, 6810 S. Cedar St., in Lansing. The night will feature DJ Mojito as he spins a variety of salsa music, including Merengue, Raggaeton and Bachata.
Tickets are $5 at the door for guests 21 and older and $7 for guests under 21.

A Day of Mindfulness:
Dharma teacher Jack Lawlor will lead participants in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh during A Day of Mindfulness from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Van Hanh Temple, 3015 S. Washington St., in Lansing.
The event will include meditation, chanting and discussion, as well as a vegetarian lunch provided by the Vietnamese community.
There is a suggested donation of $20 for most participants and $10 for students.
Bringing a blanket or sitting cushion to the event is suggested.
