Gov. Rick Snyder got an unexpected surprise Thursday — one he likely wasn’t happy about.
Sparty, a rival of Snyder’s University of Michigan Wolverines, paid an unannounced visit to the governor’s office when he was between meetings Thursday.
“It’s going to be a very tight game, and the Wolverines will prevail,” said Snyder, a U-M alumnus.
“The teams have had great seasons so far, and I would say they’re both still kind of unpredictable.”
Both Snyder and Lt. Gov. Brian Calley are attending the game at Spartan Stadium on Saturday.
Snyder will be sporting maize and blue, while Calley, an MSU alumnus, will wear green and white.
The Spartans take on the Wolverines at noon Saturday at Spartan Stadium.
MSU has a 4-1 record, and U-M goes into the game undefeated at 6-0.
