An 18-year-old student reported her credit card allegedly was stolen and used fraudulently, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The victim left her wallet unattended in the Bailey Hall laundry room on Feb. 11, and when she returned, the wallet was no longer there, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The wallet was found outside the dorm and turned into the front desk on Feb. 13.
The victim received an e-mail the following day and claimed the wallet. Everything but the credit card was left in the wallet.
A charge of $35.77 for gas was made on the card.
There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
