Driver OK after moped forced off road

A moped rider allegedly was forced off the road last week when the car next to her switched lanes without warning, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

A 19-year-old female MSU student was driving her 2008 Huawin moped eastbound on West Circle Drive when a 20-year-old woman in a 2008 Mini Cooper moved left into her lane, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The moped was forced off the curb. The rider sustained no injures, but the moped sustained scrapes on the right side and $200 worth of damage.
