A moped allegedly stolen from a bike rack North Wonders Hall Saturday afternoon was found by an MSU police officer early Sunday morning, MSU police Sgt. Paul Kuchek said.
The moped, valued at $1,500, was found in the western corner of South Neighborhood on its side, Kuchek said.
The bike’s owner, a 20-year-old male MSU student, told police he had not realized the bike was missing. The officer who found the abandoned moped thought it looked out of place.
After investigating, it was determined the moped was stolen. The moped sustained cracks and scrapes in the outer plastic from being dropped in its side.
