Temple club bought

June 7, 2009

An offer has been accepted on the building formerly housing The Temple Club, 500 E. Grand River Ave., in Lansing’s Old Town.

The potential buyer, Alan Hooper of Old Town Temple LCC, said the company intends to buy the building at the end of June from IB Property Holdings LCC.

Hooper said he would consider a variety of tenants for the building that had once been a church and most recently an entertainment venue that closed in 2006.

“I really don’t want to limit the possibilities for the building,” Hooper said. “I think the building lends itself to a wide variety of uses.”

Hooper declined to disclose the proposed purchase price of the building.
