King

Meet Lafe King

1. Where are you from?

Muskegon

2. How do you like Muskegon?

Muskegon is probably the perfect town to be from if you’re in college because it’s really great in the summer and it’s dead every time else.

3. How’s studying for exams going?

As good as studying can go. I mean it’s a chore but it’s going all right.

4. How many exams do you have?

I think I only have two actual exams, but papers for the other classes.

5. What GPA are you expecting?

(A) 3.0 or above, I’ll feel pretty good about (how) things went.

6. How will your family feel about it?

They’ll accept it. They’d be happier with more, but it’s not going to get me kicked out of the house or anything.

7. If you could choose all over again, would you attend MSU?

Absolutely. Campus is really nice, I’ve met a ton of great people here. It’s generally been a really positive experience so I wouldn’t want to change it.

8. What do you think is your biggest accomplishment at MSU?

Relearning how to focus on school because it’s real different from high school.

9. What’s your biggest regret?

I don’t have many regrets. I feel pretty good about the whole thing.

10. If you could have any pet in the dorms, what pet would it be?

Support student media! Please consider donating to The State News and help fund the future of journalism.

A dog. Definitely a dog. A black lab because my dog at home is a black lab. I would just bring my dog from home with me.

11. If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Either flight or super strength — one of the two. I’ll go with the classic superpowers.

12. What’s the best part about being a freshman?

The newfound freedom. The ability to do and say as I please.

13. What’s the worst part?

The required classes you have to take. And not having being able to have a car and get around everywhere you want to all the time is a little bit limiting.
