Snow, colder temperatures ahead

February 17, 2009

More wintry weather is expected in East Lansing for the remainder of the week, said Wayne Hoepner, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service station in Grand Rapids.

As of Tuesday afternoon, 2-3 inches of snow were projected to fall Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Temperatures will remain below freezing until at least Monday, with highs in the upper 30s Wednesday and the mid-20s Thursday, Hoepner said.

“At least through the weekend, it’s going to be cool,” he said. “There may be warmer weather briefly next week.”
