A 19-year-old man with no MSU affiliation was sentenced Monday to six months probation for his involvement in April’s Cedar Fest riot.

Michael T. Boggus, who pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor offense of disorderly conduct by throwing an object at a person or auto, was sentenced by 54-B District Court Judge Richard D. Ball.

Boggus is required to pay $1,614.40 in total fines and costs. Of those fines and costs, $1,074.40 is restitution to the city of East Lansing for police and emergency expenses and property damage incurred during the riot.

The court also issued an order prohibiting Boggus from entering or enrolling in any Michigan public community college or university campus for one year.
