A 19-year-old student was sent to Lansing’s Sparrow Hospital Wednesday after he rode his bike into a vehicle on North Shaw Lane, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The bicyclist was riding eastbound at about 12:30 p.m. on the sidewalk near Lot 50, between the International Center and Erickson Hall, when he ran into the vehicle.
The vehicle’s driver, a 38-year-old Lansing man, stopped before the sidewalk, and when he began moving forward, the biker struck his vehicle, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student was transported by the East Lansing Fire Department to Sparrow Hospital, but police could not confirm his injuries or condition.
