A 26-year-old MSU student lost $470 worth of school supplies Tuesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The man parked his vehicle in Lot 39 and went into the Engineering Building. When he returned to his car at 6 p.m., he received a phone call and set down his backpack.
The complainant left his bag next to his vehicle and drove away from the parking lot.
When he returned at 7 p.m. the bag was missing. Someone later turned it in to the parking attendant, but three textbooks and a TI-89 calculator were gone, McGlothian-Taylor said.
There are no suspects.
