Look back and recap

2007-2008

Rylan Cotter’s mother Nancy hugs international relations junior Brian Doyle at the rock on Farm Lane during a vigil in Rylan Cotter’s honor. Doyle knew Cotter from their residence in Case Hall freshman year. Doyle said Cotter’s purpose in life was to make the world a more peaceful place.

It was an up-and-down year.

The MSU men’s basketball team made it to the Sweet 16, only to be knocked out of the NCAA Tournament.

Students partied and pushed the limits of police and suffered the consequences.

The winter seemed endless. Students froze as they ventured to class across a barren campus.

But that’s over now — the sun is out, and students have emerged from their dorms and rental homes. Afternoons are spent grilling or hanging out and drinking a beer on East Lansing’s front lawns.

Before MSU breaks for summer (even though some of you might be staying for classes), here is a look at a few of the events from the past school year.
