Man punches car window
A police employee reported having his car window punched while patrolling a parking lot near Birch Road and Cherry Lane. The suspect, a 52-year-old male Lansing resident, punched the passenger window of his car when the employee was asked to move his vehicle, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The 19-year-old male employee said the suspect yelled at him to move his vehicle, which was stationed on the sidewalk between 7 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. during an MSU hockey game, McGlothian-Taylor said. When the victim explained that he was assigned to the area, the suspect punched the vehicle’s passenger side window. There were no injuries reported. Officers made contact with the suspect and charges are yet to be determined, McGlothian-Taylor said. The victim plans to press charges on the suspect. The incident is still under investigation and will likely go to the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
