Tinted headlight cover stolen from 1986 Cavalier

A tinted headlight cover was stolen from a Lansing resident’s car Sunday evening while the vehicle was parked near Spartan Stadium, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. A 27-year-old female with no university affiliation was parked in Lot 62E when she heard her car alarm go off. She returned to find a male wearing a hat, a sweatshirt and jeans taking the headlight cover, valued at $30, off of her 1986 Chevrolet Cavalier and placing it on his car. MSU police made contact with a suspect, who denied taking the headlight covers. The incident is still under investigation.
