BlackBerry snatched

A student getting off of a Capital Area Transportation Authority bus had her BlackBerry stolen from a clip on her jeans at about 5 p.m. Tuesday, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said. The 20-year-old female student exited the bus at the intersection of Grand River Avenue and Collingwood Drive when an unknown male approached the victim and bumped her while running, McGlothian-Taylor said. The suspect, described as a 5-foot-9-inch, 180 pound, 20-year-old male with brown eyes and brown hair, kept running after bumping the victim and laughed as he ran, McGlothian-Taylor said. The victim noticed her BlackBerry, estimated to be worth $300, missing from her jeans clip as the suspect continued running in the direction of the Administration Building.
