You're a college student, so education is important to you. You believe:
A. "We need to continue to invest in our K-12 system and getting more resources in the classroom less in the administration; more in the classroom where teachers are able to teach and able to give them the resources they need to be effective in the classrooms."
B. "Our intention is to double the college graduates of Michigan over the next 10 years, and that means we have raised the standards for K-12, and we have to provide the funding for kids to be able to go to college. Four thousand (dollars), of course, won't get you through the tuition at U-M or MSU, but what it will get you is the equivalent of two years at community college."
You're in college and, at some point, you're going to need a job. But Michigan's job climate with a 7.1 percent unemployment rate in September doesn't seem to be getting better, and the manufacturing sector is hurting. Government should:

I think _____ when it comes to abortion.
A. "Government should not be in your bedroom, in the confessional or in the doctor's office."
B. "I'm on the pro-life side of this debate. Everybody, I think, in Michigan knows that today. But there are people of conscience on both sides of this very, very challenging issue, and our current laws, as it relates to abortion as it relates to abortion in Michigan are sufficient."
Does the auto industry in Michigan need life support? And how does Michigan get it back on track?
A. "We, as a state, are hardest hit because we have on average 700 percent more automotive jobs than any other state in the country. But this is why in a bipartisan fashion, our delegation, as well as certainly the governors of other manufacturing states, have gone to Washington and demanded several things: One, that we have a uniquely American solution to the cost of health care."
B. "They need to invest toward us, not away from us. That's where we're going to work back to an atmosphere where Michigan is the best place to invest, the best place to build a business and best place to grow your business up."
Our nation is sandwiched between Canada and Mexico and people want in. What do you think should be done about our state borders?
A. "I don't want to deny that to people who earn their way there. But you've gotta earn your way, and you've gotta do it in a legal and documented way."
B. "We have a challenge ? with really two dynamics in America that are always in competition with each other: One is the rule of law everyone wants the law to be enforced and yet we have a commitment to compassion. It makes it certainly very challenging to get the appropriate balance."
