A 24-year-old student reported his wallet was stolen between 5:30 and 7 p.m. Monday from IM Sports-Circle, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.The wallet was valued at $26, containing $15 cash and multiple IDs and credit cards.The student told police he changed from street shoes to his basketball shoes, then put his wallet and keys into his street shoes, covered it with his clothing, and then proceeded to play basketball, McGlothian-Taylor said.The student said he didn't observe anyone suspicious, and police have no suspects.• Another wallet, valued at $15, was reported stolen by a 33-year-old male university employee between 8 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. on Monday from a second-floor computer lab in the Engineering Building.The wallet contained $70 in cash as well as various IDs and credit cards.The man told police that while he had been working at a computer in the lab, he removed his wallet from his pocket and placed it on a table. When he was done working, he went to an office, when he noticed it missing. He then returned to the lab, but the wallet was gone, McGlothian-Taylor said.• A laptop was stolen during an unforced breaking and entering between 6:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday from a room on the second floor of Owen Graduate Hall. The laptop, a Compaq M700, was valued at about $1,000 and was left in a 24-year-old student's room, which he said was locked when he left, McGlothian-Taylor said. But when he returned, he found it unlocked. Nothing else was missing from the room and police have no suspects, McGlothian-Taylor said.Jonathan Malavolti
