The MSU women's golf team brings back a victory to East Lansing after the 14.5-3.5 win over Northwestern in the Spartan/Wildcat Cup, held in Orlando, Fla., this weekend.

The Spartans led with 948 after 36 holes to Northwestern's 972.

Top players for the Spartans included seniors Allison Fouch and Sarah Martin, who both finished Saturday with a 152 score.

Martin shot a 78 Saturday and Fouch took the first seed with her score of 76, setting her to play against the day's top scorer, Northwestern's Alice Kim.

After the 18-hole match on Sunday, Martin made a path for success and shot a tournament-best 73. Fouch also took the victory with a 78, four strokes ahead of Kim's final.
