Starting today, Case Hall residents must show identification to access residence hall rooms after 9 p.m. in response to an attempted armed robbery on the sixth floor Thursday, officials said.
Before the implementation of the new rule, Case Hall residents didn't have to show identification until midnight.
MSU Police have released descriptions and sketches of two men sought in connection with the crime.
Police describe the first man as light-skinned, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, 185 to 200 pounds with dark brownish-black hair, dark hazel-brown eyes and is between 22-24 years old.
Fliers with the description have been posted in Case Hall and other dorms.
He was last seen wearing a shiny black leather coat with a zipper in the front and no pockets, dark blue jeans and a heavy crew neck dark-colored shirt.
Police describe the second man as light-skinned, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, 190 to 200 pounds with thicker short dark brownish-black hair, dark eyes and is between 22-24 years old.
He was last seen wearing a forest green hooded pullover sweatshirt, possibly with MSU markings, and jeans. The second man may have sustained injuries to the face, police said.
