Candidates for the 23rd District state Senate seat will debate at 8:15 p.m. Thursday at the 2nd floor Union parlor rooms.
The hourlong debate pits state Reps. Virg Bernero, D-Lansing, and Paul DeWeese, R-Williamston, against each other as they vie to represent the district that encompasses MSU.
Before DeWeese and Bernero debate, candidates for the 30th Circuit Court judge seat will debate from 7-8 p.m.
ASMSU, MSUs undergraduate student government, the American Association of University Women and the League of Women Voters are among the sponsors of the event, which is free.
