Wrestling

The No. 18 wrestling team host Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. today at Jenison Field House.

MSU (4-8 overall, 1-3 Big Ten) holds a 23-14-1 edge over the Wildcats (7-10, 0-5) all-time.

The Spartans then travel to Penn State (5-9, 2-3) for a 1 p.m. Sunday showdown in State College, Pa.

Women’s tennis

The women’s tennis team (4-2) will visit Miami (4-2) at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Miami is riding a four-match winning streak. After opening with losses to Kentucky and Indiana, the Redhawks responded by beating Indiana State, Murray State, Louisville and Butler.

The Spartans will then compete against Ball State (1-1) at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Women’s Gymnastics

The MSU women’s gymnastics team (8-4) will return home after three straight-weeks on the road to face Rutgers (8-4).

The Spartans won the Circle of Stars Meet on Friday in Indianapolis, Ind. MSU scored 193.375 points to edge second-place Ball State, which had 193.300.

This weekend’s meet is the first of three straight home meets for MSU.

Women’s Track and Field

The women’s track team will travel to Mount Pleasant today to compete in the Jack Skoog Open.

The event begins at 5 p.m. in the Jack Skoog Indoor Track.

The event marks the Spartans last indoor meet before the Big Ten Championships on Feb. 23 and 24 at Penn State in University Park, Pa.

The NCAA Indoor Championships are scheduled for Mar. 8-9 in Fayetteville, Ark.
