The wins keep on coming for the MSU volleyball team.
But this time, its personal.
Junior middle blocker Angela Morley was named the National Volleyball Player of the Week on Monday for her 31 kills and .558 hitting percentage in MSUs weekend upsets of No 9. Ohio State and No. 14 Penn State.
Morley, who had 16 blocks on the weekend and notched a career-best 21 kills in Saturdays 3-1 win over the Nittany Lions, is the first MSU player to win the award since 1998.
The Big Ten complemented the award by naming Morley its co-Big Ten Player of the Week. Senior outside hitter Erin Hartley took home the conference award for the No. 22 Spartans on Sept. 10.
