Police briefs 10/26/00

Two female students were involved in a physical fight in Holden Hall at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night, MSU police Detective Tony Willis said.The 18-year-old and 19-year-old students are suitemates and were arguing when it turned physical. The 19-year-old struck the 18-year-old several times in the head before being separated by a third party, Willis said.The 18-year-old suffered no injuries that required medical attention but contacted MSU police to press charges. The case has been forwarded to the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

  • A 21-year-old female student left her backpack at the bus stop near Berkey Hall early Tuesday and when she returned about half an hour later to find it, the bag was gone, Willis said.The bag held more than $330 of personal property including textbooks, sunglasses, and a wallet with cash and ID inside.Police have no suspects.
