Police briefs 10/17/00

A 21-year-old female Spartan Village resident reported her home broken into between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Oct. 7, MSU police Sgt. Jennifer Brown said.When the woman left her apartment that night she locked the door but kept the screened front window open. When she returned home three hours later the screen to her window had been removed and the front door was unlocked, Brown said.Nothing appeared to have been removed from the home. The screen is valued at $50.

  • A 20-year-old male student living in Campbell Hall reported his room broken into between 2 p.m. Oct. 6 and 5 p.m. Oct. 7 while he was away from the room, Brown said.The student told police that 37 CDs were stolen. He was unsure if he had locked the door before leaving the room, Brown said.The CDs are valued at $350. Police have no suspects.
